About Round Table Robotics
Round Table Robotics, FRC team 1792, was founded in 2015 as a split off team from a community team in the Milwaukee area. Members on this community team noticed that Oak Creek High School did not have any FIRST programs, and decided to implement an FRC team. Through a partnership between students, sponsors, and the school district, Round Table Robotics began to inspire and prepare the next generation of technology and business leaders.
Since then, we have grown into an award-winning team, recognized at the local, national, and international levels for our competitive robots, extensive outreach, and commitment to teaching every Round Table Robotics member engineering and leadership skills. 95 percent of our alumnae have gone on to college, the rest joining the armed forces, and 100 percent have pursued STEM majors.
Team members participate in a wide range of projects developed by Round Table Robotics that cultivates learning skills from robot design, programming, and fabrication to technical writing, marketing, and communications.
These skills translate to our success both on and off the FIRST Robotics Competition field. We are a three-time recipient of the Entrepreneurship award, both regionally and Internationally, which recognizes an FRC team whose business is airtight, with a clear and constant strive for growth. This, on top of our two Engineering Inspiration awards, demonstrates that we work hard to reach out to our community and bring STEM to another level.
We spread the FIRST message of education and engagement inclusiveness, focusing our outreach on students in our community and other youth who were typically unexposed to STEM prior to our involvement.
